The German funding agency Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is supporting the development of a road map for training and capacity development which will enable the companies to prepare for their future roles – in terms of distributed renewable generation, digitisation, increased automation and the ‘greening’ of the network. We are supporting the lead company working with the Indian Discoms – Feedback Ventures – by providing an international perspective. There may be lessons to be learned from the experience of those companies who are already some way on this journey towards greener and active distribution networks, and our objective will be to capture and report on these.
The severe impact of Covid 19 has led to delays in delivery but we are delighted to be a contributor to this worthwhile project.
