energypeople limited was appointed by the Authority for Electricity Regulation to conduct a series of audit studies in support of the forthcoming Price Control Review for the Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC).

The task was to conduct a comprehensive price control audit of OETC, the objective being to review and evaluate the extent to which price control allocated resources had been used in an efficient manner and for the purpose for which they are intended. Nine areas for study were identified – including unit cost data and outturn expenditure; project development; O&M contracts and contracting; use of consultants, training effectiveness; common asset investments and a range of technical matters. Nine themed reports (plus an executive summary and audit opinion) were prepared and presented to stakeholders.
