After competitive tendering, we were pleased to be awarded the work to audit the Nama Supply Company’s returns under the terms of Regulatory Authority’s Customer Services Incentive Scheme. For the 2023 calendar year, the audit was extended to cover compliance with additional APSR requirements regarding the collection of debt.

Beginning operations in June 2023, the new NSC comprises the supply businesses of the four predecessor distribution and supply companies with whom we had worked for many years.

The objective was to deliver an independent audit ‘opinion’ and prepare recommendations for improving the accuracy and reliability of the data and the efficiency with which it is collected and reported in the new company. The audit had some additional complexities, as for the early part of 2023 the audit was of data, people and systems from the four companies, while for the latter part of the year it was for the new, consolidated company.

However, the audit was expertly enabled by the Supply business management team and we are grateful for their help and cooperation in ensuring that we could complete the audit successfully and submit the required report and recommendations.

Additional note; we were also appointed to conduct an equivalent audit of the reporting by Nama Dhofar Services (NDS), the electricity utility covering the southern Dhofar Governorate. Again, we are grateful for the help of the management team at NDS for their help in ensuring delivery of an accurate and timely audit.
