The regulatory reporting requirements on electricity distribution businesses in Oman has steadily increased, as part of the Regulatory Authority’s push to improve the technical and economic performance of the network and drive improvements in customer service.
We were pleased to be awarded the assignment to audit reporting by the new Nama Electricity Distribution Company (NEDC), which is now responsible for all electricity distribution in the Sultanate outside the Dhofar Governorate. Matters covered included: verification of secure capacity and peak demand; customer accounts per feeder; quality of supply indicator returns; certain customer service key performance indicator outcomes; and guaranteed standards of service reporting.
