Glen Chapman is a finance expert with a thirty-year career background in the power sector in the UK and, for a time, the USA. After working with us at energypeople as an Associate for some time, Glen joined the team as a Senior Consultant in 2015, becoming Finance Director later in the year.
A qualified Accountant, following qualification and an early career with Eastern Electricity, as a Corporate Finance Manager Glen’s role was appraising, negotiating and closing acquisitions, joint ventures and disposals. He was previously responsible, as Project Appraisal Manager, for the independent review of major investments, and developed and promoted project appraisal techniques for use throughout the organisation. Glen has also held the position of Audit Manager and is experienced in managing and conducting audits.
Glen was a founding member of TXU’s Renewable Energy management team, a group established to meet targets under the Renewable Obligation. He was responsible for developing and implementing a renewable energy strategy and the initial five-year business plan. His time with TXU included a six-month spell working in the USA.
As a Consultant, Glen has worked on power sector assignments in the Middle East, South Asia, Nigeria, Turkey and the UK.
