The Island of Sark is a self-governing jurisdiction, responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of its own utilities. Prepared on behalf of the Electricity Price Commissioner, this study reviewed and evaluated the opportunities to update, rehabilitate and/or renew the Island’s distribution network, together with a technical and financial assessment of the potential for replacing or augmenting diesel plant with renewable sources and energy storage. The study formed the basis of a new strategy for delivering a reliable, safe and efficient supply to the island.
